Extensive meetings were held by Jillian Poole at the Fortress of Peter and Paul with Alexei Balakonshki and his staff. Their hopes and plans for the future were reviewed. These included: unveiling the beginnings of their new exhibition at the time of the Big Eight conference in the Spring. They would still like to involve other science foundations such as the Air and Space Museum and the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center helped Balakonshki develop rationale for such alliances and suggested a very clear mission for such a group should be developed. She also met with the chairman of their volunteers and sketched for him an outline of how a corporate funding plan might be developed to support future initiatives at the Fortress.
Meetings were also held with the Russian State Museum to discuss The Fund’s joint program in Samara and in Budapest in 2007.
She held a two and a half hour meeting with the Political History Museum to cover Barbara Charles detailed questions about the prospects for and scope of work to be continued between Staples and Charles and Jonathan Hess. Although the outline for discussions provided by Staples and Charles the discussion were not as comprehensive as they would have wished because there were time constraints.
