Activities Summary
In June, The Funds Consultant Virginia Hubbell was invited to Prague by the Donors Forum in order to follow-up on her long-distance consultations regarding the role of foundations. She was asked to meet with several not-for-profit organizations as well as the Donors Forum and to address such topics as foundations roles and philosophies of operation, relationships with constituents and other foundations, guidelines for contributions and building organizational capacity. The U.S. Information Agency provided funding for Ms. Hubbells transportation for this project.
The Society of Friends of the National Gallery which The Fund was instrumental in supporting and guiding now has 1500 members, including 200 foreign members. It contributes to the life of the Gallery in a number of useful ways, including financial support.
